Dr. Marina Kolovopoulou is an Assistant Professor of History of Dogma at the Department of Theology of the Theological School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She studied Theology at the Department of Theology of the University of Athens (Degree and Doctorate in Theology) and Early Church History at King's College London.

As a member of the university community, Kolovopoulou has participated in international conferences and consultations, and as a representative of the Church of Greece she has been member of the Central Committee of the European Council of Churches (CEC) and the Executive Committee of the World Council of Churches (WCC). Currently she is member of the Central Committee of the WCC, member of the Permanent Committee on Consensus and Collaboration of WCC and vice-moderator, representing WCC, of the Joint Consultative Group for the dialogue of WCC with the Pentecostals.

Kolovopoulou’s scientific interests cover a variety of thematics of History of Dogma concerning patristic theology, the teaching of the symbolic texts of the Orthodox Church in relation to the western theological development and the living tradition of the Church up today.
