
Dr. Evangelos Protopapadakis
Dr. Protopapadakis studied Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), wherefrom he obtained his B.Phil in 1997. Dr. Protopapadakis completed his PhD Thesis in 2002 (“The Idea of Euthanasia in Contemporary Bioethics”) under the supervision of Prof. Pelegrinis and has been teaching at NKUA since 2004. In 2009 he became a Lecturer in Applied Ethics at the NKUA School of Philosophy and was elected Assistant Professor in 2014. Since 2015 he is the Director of the NKUA Applied Philosophy Research Laboratory and the Head of the Greek Unit of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics (Haifa). Dr. Protopapadakis is also a board member of the NKUA Ethics and Deontology Committee and the Hellenic Pasteur Institute Bioethics Committee. He has authored four books in Greek, edited one in English, co-edited four in Greek, three in English and one in Serbian.
